Anaesthesia Consultation
A consultation with a consultant anaesthetist gives you the opportunity to discuss pain relief in labour, such as epidural, or you may have some underlying condition or previous difficulty when given an anaesthetic. Such problems include chronic back problems and previous trauma to your pelvis which can make administering an epidural difficult. Having the opportunity to ask questions of an expert will allay your anxieties when the time comes to having your baby or operation.
